Niles, Ohio - RMI Titanium
Company (NYSE;RTI) announced today the completion of three more
long term aerospace contracts.
BFGoodrich Aerospace
Aerostructures Group, which designs and manufactures engine nacelle
systems for large commercial and military aerospace applications,
has named RMI its principal supplier of alloy sheet through A.
M. Castle & Co. in Paramount, California.
Internationally, RMI
has secured contracts with Construcciones Aeronaurticas S.A. (CASA)
of Spain and Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG of Germany for their alloy
plate and sheet requirements in connection with the Airbus and
Eurofighter programs. These contracts will be serviced by RMI's
UK Service Center and its representative Robert Zapp GmbH in Germany.
All three contracts,
totaling more than $60 million, begin in 1999 and extend for a
minimum of three years, further strengthening RMI's dominant position
in value-added titanium alloy sheet and plate products for aerospace
applications.
RMI Titanium Company, headquartered in Niles, Ohio, manufactures titanium mill products, hot-formed and superplastically formed parts, and engineered systems for energy-related markets. The Company's products are used for fabricated components in commercial and military aircraft and engines, energy exploration and refining, chemical processing equipment, pulp and paper production facilities, medical implants and consumer goods.
