RMI TITANIUM COMPANY RECOGNIZED AS

LOCKHEED MARTIN STAR SUPPLIER

Niles, Ohio - RMI Titanium Company (NYSE;RTI) announced today that it has been awarded the Lockheed Martin STAR citation as an exemplary supplier. RMI is the only titanium producer awarded the STAR.

Requirements for the award include a certified Statistical Process Control system, a 6-month demonstration of zero percent rejection rate at point of inspection, zero nonconformance costs at Lockheed Martin material management sites, and 98% performance to delivery schedule. Award suppliers benefit with reduction of inspection and audit at their facility and a more favorable position in the contract bid and award process. Only 11% of Lockheed Martin's suppliers have been granted this award.

RMI Titanium Company, headquartered in Niles, Ohio, manufactures titanium mill products, hot-formed and superplastically formed parts, and engineered systems for energy-related markets.
