FEDERAL RESTRAINING ORDER ISSUED IN RMI STRIKE

Niles, Ohio – On Friday, February 19, 1999, the National Labor Relations Board filed a petition in United States District Court seeking an injunction against United Steelworkers of America Locals 2155 and 2155-7 in connection with their ongoing strike against RMI Titanium Company in Niles, Ohio.

Federal Court Judge Peter C. Economus granted the motion and issued a ten-day Temporary Restraining Order at 5:22 p.m. Friday evening. The Order restrains the Unions and persons acting in concert with them from mass picketing, committing acts of violence or interfering with the conduct of business.

A hearing is set for Wednesday, February 24, to consider extending the Order.

RMI Titanium Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RTI International Metals, Inc. (NYSE; RTI).
