RTI INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE POSTS

 Niles, Ohio Ð RTI International Metals, Inc., (NYSE:  RTI) announced today that its Board of Directors has elected Timothy G. Rupert, 52, President and Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Rupert, who has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RTI, joined the Company in 1991 and since has had broad administrative and financial responsibilities.

 John H. Odle, 56, Executive Vice President, was given expanded duties in marketing and technology.  He joined the Company in 1978 and since has had increasing responsibilities in the commercial and operations areas.

 Lawrence W. Jacobs, 43, was elected Chief Financial Officer, in addition to his present position.  Mr. Jacobs has been Vice President and Treasurer of RTI since joining the Company in 1998.  Previously he was with a major financial institution as a segment executive for metal industry clients.

 Robert M. Hernandez, Chairman of the Board, said, ÒThis organization lets RTI take maximum advantage of the capabilities of one of the most talented young management teams with which I have ever been associated.  Tim Rupert as President and CEO will provide the leadership and strategic oversight to the Company that is his forte and has served us well in our ongoing metals diversification drive.  Rupert will also have reporting directly to him RTIÕs legal, financial and accounting functions as well as the operations of the CompanyÕs RMI Titanium Company subsidiary.  John Odle will utilize his consummate marketing skills to lead the effort to integrate the various metals businesses of RTI from a customer standpoint, as well as developing new markets for titanium, our core business.  Odle will oversee RMI TitaniumÕs commercial and technology functions and direct the integration of the newly formed Fabrication and Distribution Group into RTI.

 Richard R. Burkhart, RTI Group Vice President, who has direct responsibility for the Fabrication and Distribution Group, will report to Mr. Odle.  We expect the Group, principally comprised of recently acquired RTI subsidiaries, to play a major role in RTIÕs future success.Ó
