NATIONAL
LABOR RELATIONS BOARD
DISMISSES CHARGES AGAINST RTI SUBSIDIARY
Niles, Ohio – RTI International Metals, Inc., (NYSE: RTI) announced that the
National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has dismissed a Federal Unfair Labor Practice
charge filed against RMI Titanium Company by the United Steelworkers of America.
The NLRB found no basis for the Union’s claim that it had a right to audit confidential
Company financial information, stating that “the Employer’s decision not to
comply with the Union’s request was based upon its well-founded determination
that it was not required to do so.…” The Board refused to issue a complaint
and dismissed the charge brought by the Union.
