NATIONAL
LABOR RELATIONS BOARD AFFIRMS
DISMISSAL OF STEELWORKERS CHARGES AGAINST
RTI SUBSIDIARY
Niles, Ohio – RTI International Metals, Inc., (NYSE: RTI) announced that the
National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has affirmed dismissal of charges brought
by the United Steelworkers against its subsidiary RMI Titanium Company, Niles,
Ohio.
The NLRB had ruled in June 2004 that the Company’s denial of the Union’s demand to audit its financial records was legal and “based on its well-founded determination that it was not required to do so”. The Union appealed the decision. The NLRB has rejected that appeal and dismissed the charge.
